Manta Ray Night Dive/Snorkel

AttractionKeauhou, ~20 min from KonaSnorkelingWildlife

One of the most extraordinary wildlife encounters on Earth. After dark, lights attract plankton which draw giant manta rays — with wingspans up to 16 feet — that glide inches from your face as they feed. Snorkel and dive operators depart nightly from Keauhou Bay and the airport area.

Tip: Book a snorkel tour (no dive certification needed). The experience runs about 45 minutes in the water. Even non-swimmers can watch from glass-bottom boats.
