Perched on a dramatic cliff on Kauai's northernmost point, the historic 1913 lighthouse overlooks a national wildlife refuge that is home to nene geese, red-footed boobies, Laysan albatross, and great frigatebirds. The panoramic ocean views are stunning, and whale sightings are common in winter months.
Tip: The refuge is open Thursday through Saturday only (check current hours). Binoculars enhance the birdwatching experience significantly.
