Framed by a lava rock headland, lush jungle cliffs, and backed by an estuary, it is a photographer's paradise. The strong currents make swimming dangerous — this is a beach to admire.
Tip: There's a marked pull-off on the highway with a short trail down to the beach. Never swim here — the currents are extremely dangerous. The late-afternoon light on the lava headland is magnificent for photos.
