A stunning 3-mile coastal trail along the dramatic southeastern shore, passing sea stacks, fossil dunes, ancient fishponds, and hidden sandy coves accessible only by foot. One of the most underrated hikes on Kauai — wild, uncrowded, and full of geological wonder. The views back to Makahuena Point are breathtaking.
Tip: Park at Shipwreck Beach and walk east along the coast. The trail is mostly flat and easy. Early morning has the best light for photography. The sea cliffs at the far end are a natural marvel.
