Called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, this 14-mile-long, 3,600-foot-deep canyon is painted in layers of red, green, and brown. Drive up Waimea Canyon Road with multiple lookout stops along the way, culminating in views that stretch to the Na Pali cliffs. It is genuinely one of the most stunning sights in all of Hawaii.
Tip: Continue past the canyon to the Pu'u O Kila Lookout for a view into Kalalau Valley. Morning visits have the clearest skies — clouds typically roll in by early afternoon.
