Protected by two rocky points, Kapalua Bay has some of the calmest swimming water on Maui's west side, making it ideal for snorkeling and families. The reef is healthy and full of tropical fish, sea turtles, and occasionally spinner dolphins. The crescent of white sand is small and exclusive-feeling, backed by the luxury Ritz-Carlton.
Tip: Parking can be tricky — use the public lot on Office Road and walk down. The snorkeling on both rocky points is excellent. Calm year-round.
