A 4-mile round-trip hike through dense bamboo forest to the towering 400-foot Waimoku Falls. The trail passes massive banyan trees and follows along lush stream beds inside the Kipahulu section of Haleakala National Park. It is one of the most magical hikes in all of Hawaii.
Tip: Start early if coming from the Road to Hana — the trailhead is 10 miles past Hana town. Bring rain gear and mosquito repellent.
